The multi-state Hot Lotto game sees its first changes since adding the Sizzler option in 2008.
Tickets with the new game rules went on sale starting Sunday, May 12, 2013, with the first drawing under the new rules taking place today, May 15.
The game changes are:
- Eight white ball numbers have been added, increasing the number of white balls from 39 to 47. The Hot Ball numbers remain at 19. Therefore, the new game matrix is 5/47 + 1/19.
- The new jackpot odds are 1 in 29,144,841, while the new overall odds of winning are 1 in 17.
- The minimum jackpot will continue to be $1,000,000, with each rollover adding at least $50,000. However the advertised jackpot is now an all-cash….
