Lotería Nacional Extra
The Loteria Nacional Extra, from Spain’s Lotería Nacional is closely linked to the Spanish national calendar and provides players the chance to win millions from one of the world’s largest national lottery organizations.
This draw that takes place from January through December, is similar to the Lotería de Navidad and Lotería del Nino, and consist of 100,000 tickets printed with five-digit codes ranging from 00000-99999. It features 34,851 ways to win on every ticket and turns more than 1:3 players into a Spanish National Lottery winner!
The 100,000 tickets are printed in 10 copies and divided into ten shares to create a total of 10 million shares. 100,000 tickets * 10 copies * 10 shares = 10 million shares.
The difference is that in a sorteo extraordinario, the premio especial (“special first prize”) is awarded to a specific share in a specific series of the first prize winning ticket. For example, ticket number 12345 may be the winner of the €1 million first prize (€100,000 per share), but the premio especial will be awarded to one of the ten shares in a selected series of ticket 12345. The selected share will receive an additional €4.9 million in cash prizes for a total win of €5 million!
